  1. Apr 13,  · Older Clan of Xymox albums such as Medusa had a fairly consistent sound from track to track, and while Creatures offers excellent vocals supported by sobering and dark guitars I felt that a number of the tracks, notably Crucified, Taste of Medicine, Waterfront, Falling Down, and Doubts, sounded fairly different from what I've grown to expect from Xymox/5(30).
  2. Clan of Xymox made two albums for 4AD Records in the mid '80s, the label's heyday--and, it turns out, the band's as well. Clan of Xymox () and Medusa () were perfect slices of moody, lovelorn gothic pop--reminiscent of New Order, only more morose/5(30).
  3. Creatures by Clan Of Xymox, released 25 March 1. Jasmine and Rose 2. Crucified 3. Taste of Medicine 4. Undermined 5. Consolation 6. Waterfront 7. Creature 8. All I Have 9. Falling Down Without a Name Doubts The former 4AD act now on Metropolis returns with a darker gothic sound. 11 tracks that echo in style the goth rock of Sisters of Mercy and the emotive balladry of Diary of Dreams.

  5. Oct 12,  · This album is quite a letdown after all the excellent albums Xymox created in the 80s. A collection of average tracks with some peaks up (Taste of Medicine, Without a Name) and some peaks down (Crucified, Undermined). More and more Ronny Moorings sounds like Andrew Eldritch. The tracks lack of variation, harmony, melancholy/5(54).

  7. Recorded at the White Room Studio, Düsseldorf, Germany. Mixed and mastered at Woodbine Studios, Leamington Spa, UK On the spine of the rear insert, "Clan of Xymox" is mis-spelled "Caln of Xymox"4/5(37).
